We are fortunate to partner with clients who value the importance of great design. Each year we enter our design work for consideration in peer-reviewed award programs so our clients and partners can share recognition in producing design at the highest level. We are excited to announce one such award that is a reflection of the amazing design that can come out of a strong partnership with our clients.

The Independent Publisher Book Awards honor the year's best independently published titles from around the world. The awards encompass over 80 categories ranging from Fine Art to Young Adult Fiction, and everything in between.

**Out of more than 5,000 book entries, our work for Masaaki Hatsumi: Dojo Giga | Heaven was chosen as the Most Outstanding Design of the year.**

We are incredibly proud of this award, and all of the contributions that went into making this book a remarkable work of art in its own right. Thanks to Steve Olsen—writer and publisher—for the opportunity to collaborate with him and the artist on telling such an amazing story.

Steve Olsen (writer and publisher) traveled all the way from Japan to receive the gold medal at the 23rd annual Independent Publisher Book Awards ceremony in New York City on May 28, 2019.

The "IPPY" Awards, launched in 1996, are designed to bring increased recognition to the deserving, but often unsung titles published by independent authors and publishers. Established as the first awards program open exclusively to independents, over 5,000 "IPPYs" have been awarded to authors and publishers around the world. As one of the oldest, most established independent book awards in operation, the Independent Publisher Book Awards are well known and respected in the book industry.
